UBTECH Walker S2

The industrial humanoid from Shenzhen-based UBTECH — 176 cm, 70 kg, 15 kg dual-arm payload, 2.5 h per charge and the world's first humanoid to swap its own battery in 3 minutes. In mass production since November 2025.

What it would mean for your event

Trade fairs and industrial conferences

Walker S2 would hold its own at a manufacturer's stand, but it is not available for hire in Europe yet. We deliver a humanoid demonstration at the event with the G1 and H2 and add the facts on Walker for an expert audience.

A manufacturing pilot

For companies that want a humanoid on the line we compare Walker S2 with AgiBot G2, Digit and Apollo and verify European service.

Safety

The manual requires 1.5 m of clearance and trained operators — so Walker is not a robot among guests; for that role we have other machines.

UBTECH Walker S2: ROBOTio does not currently hire out or sell this model. UBTECH delivers Walker S2 to industrial customers; price and certification for a specific EU deployment are verified with the maker. Looking for a robot for a corporate event? Manufacturer: UBTECH Robotics

UBTECH was founded in 2012 in Shenzhen by Zhou Jian (James Zhou), who still leads it. In 2018 it raised USD 820M in a Tencent-led Series C, on 29 December 2023 it became the first humanoid maker listed in Hong Kong (9880.HK) and in 2025 it placed shares worth about HKD 7.3B. Besides the Walker series it makes Cruzr service robots, the CADEBOT delivery robot and educational kits, and in February 2026 open-sourced the Thinker model. About 2,000 employees.

History and generations

Walker (2024) → Walker S1 (October 2024, deployed at BYD, NIO and Zeekr) → Walker S2 shown on 17 July 2025 and launched on 23 July 2025 ahead of WAIC in Shanghai; product manual V1.0 dated 23 September 2025; mass production from 17 November 2025 and the 1,000-unit small-batch level reached by year-end. Capacity target 5,000 units in 2026 and 10,000 in 2027 (UBTECH press release); the H1 2026 results mention a 10,000-unit target already for 2026.

ROBOTio's view

We follow Walker S2 for industrial clients; UBTECH is one of the few makers with a European office (Nijmegen). It is not built for events — there we deploy the Unitree G1 and H2.
