ROBOTio

Apptronik Apollo

The manufacturing and logistics humanoid from Texas-based Apptronik — 173 cm, 73 kg, 25 kg payload, 4 hours on swappable batteries; as Apollo 2 (June 2026) on legs or a wheeled base, with Google DeepMind's Gemini Robotics models.

What it would mean for your event

Automotive events and trade fairs

Apollo is the humanoid that knows European automotive best (Mercedes-Benz), but it is not available to hire for a stand. We deliver a humanoid demonstration for an automotive audience with the G1 and H2 — including a variant with the Tesla Cybertruck.

A manufacturing pilot in Czechia

If you plan a humanoid pilot in production, we watch when Apptronik opens a commercial programme and prepare a comparison with Digit, Walker S2 and AgiBot G2.

For management

Before a company invests in an industrial humanoid, we show live what today's humanoids can and cannot do.

Where it is deployed

Automotive — Mercedes-Benz

Agreement since March 2024; trials at the Digital Factory Campus Berlin-Marienfelde and the Kecskemét plant; Mercedes-Benz invested a low double-digit million euro amount in March 2025.

Logistics — GXO

A multi-phase research and pilot programme since June 2024.

Manufacturing — Jabil

Jabil is Apptronik's worldwide manufacturing partner and has tested Apollo in its own factories since February 2025.

Availability at ROBOTio

Apptronik Apollo: ROBOTio does not currently hire out or sell this model. Apptronik Apollo runs only in partner pilots; sales are announced only with the Apollo 3 generation, without a date. Looking for a robot for a corporate event? See the Unitree G1 and H2 from our event fleet — we help you choose the model and plan its role in the programme.

Manufacturer: Apptronik

Apptronik is based in Austin, Texas, founded in 2016 out of the Human Centered Robotics Lab at the University of Texas (CEO Jeff Cardenas, CTO Nick Paine). Until 2025 it had raised only USD 28M, then a USD 415M Series A (2025; B Capital, Capital Factory, Google) and a USD 520M Series A-X (February 2026; with Mercedes-Benz, PEAK6, AT&T Ventures, John Deere and Qatar Investment Authority) at a valuation of about USD 5B; roughly USD 1B in total. About 300 employees; the Elevate Robotics subsidiary for industrial automation.

History and generations

Apollo unveiled 23 August 2023 (173 cm, 73 kg, 25 kg payload, 4 h swappable batteries) → pilots at Mercedes-Benz (March 2024), GXO (June 2024), Jabil (February 2025) → Apollo 2 published in June 2026 together with the opening of Robot Park: two base configurations, Artemis and Fleet Connect software; the earlier stationary pedestal variant is no longer offered → Apollo 3 is to be the first fully commercial product, with no announced date.

ROBOTio's view

We follow Apollo for its European pilots at Mercedes-Benz, the closest to Czechia of any American humanoid. It is not built for events; there we deploy the Unitree G1 and H2.
