For the vast majority of events, the Unitree G1: big enough to draw attention, light enough for an ordinary room, walks among guests, talks and can be wrapped. The 180 cm H2 makes sense where the point is a stage moment and there is room for it.

What is the difference between the Unitree G1 and H2?

Height and presence. The G1 is 130 cm and versatile; the H2 is 180 cm and reads at human scale on stage and in photographs. The H2 needs more space, a longer set-up, and there are far fewer of them — one in operation in the EU.

Can you rent a Boston Dynamics Atlas or a Tesla Optimus?

Normally no. Boston Dynamics does not rent Atlas for events, and Tesla Optimus has not reached European event rental. We assess Atlas enquiries individually but never promise availability in advance.

How much does each model cost to rent?

It depends what the robot is there to do. A humanoid is better on stage, in conversation and in photographs with guests. The Go2 quadruped is more stable, faster, and can work a fair hall all day.

Manufacturer figures are measured in a laboratory. At an event something else decides: how long the robot lasts between battery swaps, how it behaves on carpet versus tiles, whether it can be wrapped in your branding, and whether anyone exists who can actually operate it. So for every model we add the operational experience, not just the datasheet.

Which model for what

Unitree G1 — the usual choice for events

130 cm, 35 kg, 43 joints, around two hours between battery swaps. It walks, dances, gestures and talks. It can be wrapped in your brand colours and dressed. This is the robot we take to most events: big enough to draw a crowd, light enough to work in an ordinary room.

Unitree H2 — when you need the height

180 cm, genuinely human scale. On stage and in photographs it reads completely differently from the smaller models. There is one in operation in the European Union and it is ours. It needs more space and a longer set-up.

Unitree Go2 — the quadruped

Not a humanoid, but at a trade fair or a school it often works better: fast, stable on uneven floors, and less intimidating. It suits anything where the robot has to move among people all day.

Boston Dynamics Atlas — the icon, but not for hire

The best-known humanoid in the world and the benchmark everything else is measured against. Boston Dynamics does not rent it out for events; we assess enquiries individually and say upfront that availability is never a given.

Tesla Optimus — not at European events yet

Much discussed and much asked about. It has not reached ordinary event rental in Europe. We watch it, and when that changes we intend to be among the first.

Xiaomi CyberOne, XPENG IRON, Figure, Digit

Models that appear in comparison articles but cannot be hired normally in Europe. If somebody offers you one for an event next month, ask for the serial number and photos from their last event.
