ROBOTio

Agility Digit 5

The fifth generation of Agility's logistics humanoid — 181 cm, 129 kg, repeated lifts of 22.7 kg, a 90-minute battery charged in 9 minutes and a safety architecture for work outside cages. Announced on 15 September 2026; the generation deployed today is Digit v4.

What it would mean for your event

Industrial audiences at events

At a logistics fair people want to see a robot that really works. Digit is not in Europe yet; a humanoid demonstration at a stand we deliver with the G1 and H2, and we supply the expert context on Digit.

A warehouse pilot

For companies that want to try Digit 5 in the EU in 2027 we watch early access and help prepare the operation (mapping, safety zones, processes).

What Digit does not do

It is not an event or home robot — Agility says so openly ("not for homes for the next 10 years").

Capabilities

Where it is deployed

Logistics

GXO Logistics — the industry's first multi-year humanoid RaaS agreement (2024), the Spanx facility in Georgia; Mercado Libre; Amazon testing since 2023.

Manufacturing

Schaeffler (investor and customer) loads bearing components in Cheraw; plans for use across about 100 plants by 2030.

Automotive

Toyota Motor Manufacturing Canada — a commercial RaaS agreement since February 2026 after a year-long pilot.

Availability at ROBOTio

Agility Digit: ROBOTio does not currently hire out or sell this model. Agility offers Digit in the USA and Canada; Digit 5 early access in the EU is announced for the first half of 2027. Looking for a robot for a corporate event? See the Unitree G1 and H2 from our event fleet — we help you choose the model and plan its role in the programme.

Manufacturer: Agility Robotics ("Agility" since March 2026)

Agility was founded in 2015 as a spin-out of Oregon State University's Dynamic Robotics Lab (Jonathan Hurst, Damion Shelton, Mikhail Jones); Peggy Johnson (ex-Microsoft) has been CEO since March 2024. Headquarters and the RoboFab factory are in Salem, Oregon (capacity 10,000 robots a year). The company reports more than USD 390M of equity raised (DCVC, Playground Global, Amazon, SoftBank Vision Fund 2, NVIDIA, Schaeffler, Foxconn) and in June 2026 announced a listing via merger with Churchill Capital Corp XI at a USD 2.5B valuation (ticker AGLT, closing Q4 2026).

History and generations

Cassie research biped (2017) → Digit v1 (2019) → v2 (2020) → Digit v4 (March 2023, ProMat: head, tote grippers, 4 h runtime; 2025 safety PLC and e-stops, the first NRTL-certified humanoid on a customer line) → Digit 5 announced 15 September 2026: new legs, 22.7 kg payload, 10:1 charging, 2.2 m reach, swappable grippers; early access H1 2027, general availability end of 2027.

ROBOTio's view

We follow Digit for logistics and manufacturing clients as the benchmark of where humanoids really work. It is not built for events; there we deploy the Unitree G1 and H2.

Frequently asked questions about Agility Digit

Can Digit be hired for an event?
No. Digit is an industrial logistics robot, sold to businesses as a service, and is not in Europe yet. At events we deploy the Unitree G1 and H2.
When will Digit 5 come to Europe?
Agility announced early access in the first half of 2027 for the USA, Canada, the EU and the UK, with general availability at the end of 2027 and CE marking expected.
How much does Digit cost?
There is no public price list. The June 2026 investor deck models RaaS at about USD 8,500 per robot per month — an illustrative assumption, not a price.
How is Digit 5 better than v4?
More human-like legs with cycloidal actuators, 40 % more payload (22.7 kg), 2.2 m reach, 9 minutes of charging for 90 minutes of work instead of a 2:1 ratio, and a safety architecture on NVIDIA IGX Thor.
Is Digit safe around people?
Digit v4 is NRTL-certified with a safety PLC; Digit 5 is built for work outside cages and is the first humanoid to pass an independent OSHA field evaluation.
Who uses Digit?
GXO Logistics, Schaeffler, Amazon, Toyota Motor Manufacturing Canada and Mercado Libre — together more than 65,000 operating hours.
