Business Logic s.r.o. is developing a humanoid robot in Czechia designed to work in manufacturing, warehouses and logistics centres. A European answer to rapid development in the USA and China.
# GEORGE: Czech humanoid for European industry and logistics Whilst the USA has Tesla Optimus, Figure 02 and Apptronik Apollo, and China supplies Unitree, XPeng Iron and UBTECH Walker, **Europe is seeking its own answer** to the rapid development of humanoid robotics. One of the most visible Czech attempts is the **GEORGE** project — a humanoid robot developed by **Business Logic s.r.o.** with the ambition to become **European workforce** for production halls, warehouses and industrial operations. > **TL;DR:** GEORGE is a Czech / European humanoid in active development. The 65 cm balancing prototype G0 already exists, the final 175 cm humanoid (G3) is in preparation. AI stack on NVIDIA Isaac Sim, VR teleoperation, fully electric drive. For ROBOTio, this is a **tracked model** — operational deployment 2026–2027. --- ## Why Europe needs its own humanoid In 2026, humanoid robots are moving from laboratories into real operations. **Tesla Optimus** assists in Fremont and Austin factories, **Figure 02** runs 10-hour shifts at BMW Spartanburg, **UBTECH Walker S2** is deployed in automotive operations and has delivered over 1,000 units. **Apptronik Apollo** is running pilots at Mercedes-Benz and GXO Logistics. However, European companies face a **strategic problem**: who will be the supplier? US suppliers mean dependence on foreign jurisdiction and export restrictions. Chinese suppliers mean data risk, geopolitical questions and the question of service in the EU. **GEORGE** aims to be the answer to this gap: a humanoid **developed in CZ for the European market**, with a European service model, European data control and emphasis on industrial scenarios that are key for Europe (Industry 4.0+, automotive, logistics, manufacturing). --- ## Who is Business Logic s.r.o. **Business Logic s.r.o.** is a Czech technology company developing the GEORGE project. The team combines robotic hardware, AI stack and mechatronics. Development proceeds **incrementally in steps** — instead of jumping straight to the final 175 cm humanoid, they progress from smaller prototypes: - **G0** (2025): 65 cm balancing humanoid — serves as a test of basic stability and control stack - **Upper body 175 cm** (development 2026): full humanoid torso with arms and head, without legs — for manipulation testing - **130 cm walking prototype** (development 2026): full biped, but smaller, for debugging ankles and stability - **G3** (target 2027): final 175 cm autonomous humanoid for real deployment This approach is **more conservative**, but **more realistic** than the approach of Chinese competitors, who often reveal the final version in live demos and only then address production reality. --- ## AI stack — NVIDIA Isaac Sim + VR teleoperation GEORGE builds on a modern AI stack that corresponds to the current trend in humanoid robotics: **Simulation** - **NVIDIA Isaac Sim** for training movements, manipulation and sensory integration in a simulated environment - Reinforcement learning + sim-to-real transfer **Teleoperation** - **VR teleoperation** for real-time control of the robot from a remote workplace - Key tool for collecting training data (operator demonstrates task → robot learns through imitation learning) **Perception** - Cameras + depth sensors (in development) - No 3D LiDAR yet (philosophy similar to Tesla pure-vision) **Goal**: to achieve the level of **VLA models** (Vision-Language-Action) similar to Figure 02 or XPeng Iron, but with local European training and model hosting in EU jurisdiction. --- ## Target deployment scenarios Business Logic communicates **industrial scenarios** as the primary target for GEORGE: | Scenario | Specific task | |---|---| | **Manufacturing operations** | Repetitive manipulation tasks, assembly, quality control | | **Logistics centres** | Pick & place, packing, palletisation | | **Internal handling** | Material flow between workstations | | **Workstation operation** | Stations, machines, assembly lines | | **Pilot projects** | Testing in real operations for Industry 4.0 deployment | | **European companies** | Data and service control — everything in EU jurisdiction | GEORGE is **not being built for events** or the consumer market. The target is **B2B industrial companies** with specific processes where the robot can replace / complement human work. --- ## Comparison with other humanoids | Parameter | GEORGE | Tesla Optimus | Unitree H1 | Figure 02 | UBTECH Walker S2 | |---|---|---|---|---|---| | **Origin** | 🇨🇿 CZ / EU | 🇺🇸 USA | 🇨🇳 China | 🇺🇸 USA | 🇨🇳 China | | **Target height** | 175 cm (G3) | 173 cm | 180 cm | 168 cm | 174 cm | | **Status** | Prototypes | Pilot in factory | Commercially available | BMW pilot | Mass production | | **Price** | Not determined | ~30,000 USD plan | 90,000 USD | not disclosed | 180,000 USD | | **Service in EU** | **Local** | US-based | China-based | US-based | China-based | | **Data control** | **EU jurisdiction** | US cloud | China cloud | US cloud | China cloud | | **Target** | Industry, logistics | Universal | Research, events | Manufacturing | Automotive | **Key advantage of GEORGE**: for a European company that **must comply with GDPR**, have **technical support in the EU** and **avoid geopolitical risks** associated with Chinese or American suppliers, GEORGE is potentially the best choice — if available in time. **Key risk**: time horizon. GEORGE is still in active development in 2026, whilst some commercial humanoids can be bought or rented today. For a project that must run in 2026, Unitree or Tesla are more suitable. For **strategic 2027–2028 deployment**, GEORGE is worth tracking. --- ## What this means for Czech companies If you are considering humanoid robotics in your operation, we recommend a **dual approach**: 1. **Short-term (2026)** — use commercially available models. Unitree G1 for events and marketing, Unitree H1 or Tesla Optimus (once publicly available) for pilot deployment. Rental through ROBOTio.cz gives you flexibility to test without investing 3+ million CZK. 2. **Long-term (2027+)** — track GEORGE as a potential **European supplier**. Once commercially available, you can switch to a local platform with European service. ROBOTio.cz is **actively tracking** the development of the GEORGE project and is in contact with the Business Logic team. For companies interested in a European humanoid stack, we can facilitate: - Process assessment at your company - Comparison with available robots on the market - Pilot with currently available robot (Unitree, Tesla) as proof-of-concept - Prepared transition to GEORGE once available --- ## Recommended approach — process, not model Instead of "buy a humanoid robot", we recommend proceeding **by process**: | Step | Action | |---|---| | **STEP 01** | **Describe process** — task, frequency, environment | | **STEP 02** | **Record work task** — video + photo of reference workplace | | **STEP 03** | **Evaluate feasibility** today vs. future | | **STEP 04** | **Compare available robots** — Unitree, Tesla, Boston Dynamics, GEORGE | | **STEP 05** | **Plan pilot** — week of testing, ROI calculation | This approach ensures you **invest in robotics only when ROI makes sense**, and that you have a prepared path to upgrade to a local European supplier once available. --- ## Related content on ROBOTio - [GEORGE — product page](/george) — complete specification, development status, process assessment form - [Humanoid robot models](/modely) — complete overview of available platforms - [Humanoid comparison](/srovnani-modelu) — interactive comparison of all robots - [Robotisation for companies](/robotizace) — from audit to pilot - [Ti5Robot YAOGUANG](/ti5robot-yaoguang) — another tracked platform model --- ## Sources - **Business Logic s.r.o.** — developer of the GEORGE project - **NVIDIA Isaac Sim** — simulation platform for robotic training - **Market data 2026** — The Robot Report, Humanoid Index, Standard Bots --- 📧 **[email protected]** · 📞 **+420 608 486 486** · 🌐 **[robotio.cz](/)**Category
