The company employs approximately 2,000 people. On 29 December 2023, it listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange (code 9880.HK) as the first humanoid manufacturer to do so. For European customers, it's worth noting that UBTECH has a European branch in Nijmegen, Netherlands, and an experience centre in Singapore. It can lift 15 kg with both arms, features 30 degrees of freedom and optional dexterous hands. It has dual hot-swappable batteries with approximately 2.5 hours of runtime. According to the manufacturer, it's the first humanoid to swap its own battery in 3 minutes, enabling continuous operation. Series production and deliveries commenced on 17 November 2025. In 2025, the company delivered 1,079 full-sized humanoids, with a further 921 in the first half of 2026. Production targets vary across press materials: 5,000 units are mentioned for 2026 and 10,000 for 2027, though mid-year results already cite 10,000 units in 2026. Take this as the manufacturer's ambition rather than established fact. ## Where UBTECH robots are deployed Customers come from the industrial sector: - **Automotive:** BYD, Dongfeng Liuzhou, Geely, FAW-Volkswagen Qingdao, Audi FAW, BAIC New Energy – manipulation, quality control, in-line logistics. - **Electronics and logistics:** Foxconn and SF Express. - **Aviation:** Airbus acquired Walker S2 for aircraft manufacturing (August 2026). Worth noting is one striking moment: three Walkers performed at the opening of the 15th Chinese National Games in 2025. However, this was a one-off production, not typical event deployment. ## Can we rent UBTECH for an event? No, at least not with us. The reasons are practical: - **Safety.** The Walker S2 manual requires a 1.5 m buffer and trained supervision. For a robot moving among guests, this is impractical. - **Purpose.** It is designed for production-line work, not conversation, photography and guest interaction. - **Availability in Europe.** The manufacturer does not publish pricing, and certifications for specific EU deployments must be verified directly with them.
