Article summary

AgiBot is a Shanghai manufacturer that supplied 39% of the global humanoid market in 2025. Discover who stands behind the company and how to book robots for your event in Czechia or Europe.

AgiBot (full name AgiBot Innovation, also known as Zhiyuan Robotics) is a Shanghai-based manufacturer of humanoid and other robots that, according to Omdia, delivered a total of 5,168 humanoids in 2025, representing 39% of the global market. However, you won't be able to rent one from us for your event in Czechia or Europe: ROBOTio does not rent or sell AgiBot robots. The same role on your stand, stage or conference will be filled by [Unitree G1 or H2 from our own fleet](https://robotio.eu/robot-rental). ## Who's behind AgiBot The company was founded in February 2023 in Shanghai by former Huawei engineers: Deng Taihua as CEO and Peng Zhihui as CTO. Within a few years, it became one of the largest humanoid manufacturers. According to data from the manufacturer's records, it reached the 1,000th robot in January 2025, the 5,000th in December 2025, the 10,000th in March 2026 and the 15,000th in June 2026. Its investors include Tencent, HongShan, Hillhouse, BYD, LG Electronics, JD.com and SAIC. In 2026, the company launched its IPO process in Hong Kong. For event organisers, the key takeaway is this: this is a major manufacturer with serial production, not a laboratory project. You can find an overview of the brand on the [AgiBot brand page](https://robotio.eu/brands/agibot). ## What robots AgiBot makes The portfolio is broad and primarily targets industry, services and research: - **G2** – industrial interactive humanoid on a wheeled platform (detailed below). - **A2** – bipedal humanoid, 169 cm. - **X2** – bipedal humanoid, 131 cm. - **D1** – quadruped robot. - **C5** – cleaning robot. We don't have more detailed specifications for the A2 and X2 series, so we won't go into them here. If you're interested in a specific model, please contact us and we'll verify availability for you. ## AgiBot G2: the most well-known model The G2 was launched on 16 October 2025 and builds on the older Genie (G1) platform. According to the manufacturer's data, it has the following specifications: - adjustable height 122–180 cm, weight 185 kg, - four steerable wheels, speed 1.5 m/s, - 25 degrees of freedom without hands, force-controlled arms with torque sensors, - two hot-swap batteries, runtime approximately 4 hours without downtime, - 360° active safety (LiDAR and ultrasound, collision detection, emergency stop), - voice interaction with multiple speakers, gaze tracking and animated face. The manufacturer deploys it in automotive and electronics (assembly, material handling, quality control) as well as at receptions and in showrooms. A full overview can be found on the [AgiBot G2 page](https://robotio.eu/agibot-g2) and in our [model overview](https://robotio.eu/models). One thing is important for planning: G2 is not a bipedal robot. It has a human torso, head and two arms on a wheeled base. It can work well on a trade show stand, but don't expect it on a stage for a dance performance or moving between guests on stairs. ## Can you get AgiBot for an event in Czechia and Europe? Not at ROBOTio. We do not currently rent or sell the G2 model. AgiBot sells to companies (directly in China, elsewhere through distributors) and according to the documentation, both price and EU certification are verified individually. The manufacturer does not disclose the price. For the G2 specifically, it has also not published information on EU certification; according to the manufacturer, the robot is supplied with a declaration of conformity. In practical terms, this means: - **Rental for an event:** not available with us. - **Purchase:** not through us; we monitor availability in Europe and verify the distributor, service and certifications. - **Industrial pilot:** we can help you select between G2, UBTECH Walker S2 and other models and verify the supplier. - **Live demonstration for management:** before your company buys an industrial humanoid, we can provide a live presentation of humanoid capabilities with robots from our fleet. If you're considering purchasing a robot from another brand, check out our page on [Unitree humanoid robot sales](https://robotio.eu/services/sales). ## What to book instead of AgiBot for your event For events, we deploy our own fleet, which includes: - **Unitree G1** (135 cm) – robot R.U.D.A. and R.I.C.O., suitable for guests, stands and smaller spaces. Details can be found on the [Unitree G1 Basic page](https://robotio.eu/unitree-g1-basic). - **Unitree H2** (180 cm) – by height, suitable for large halls and stages. - **Robopes Unitree Go2** – quadruped supplement to the programme. Each robot has two operators throughout the event. The robot speaks the language in which the guest addresses it (13 website languages), and persona and dialogue are approved in advance. The robot maintains its own movement and balance, while the operator controls direction and gestures. We can deploy up to 4 humanoids at a single event. You can find the manufacturer brand on the [Unitree Robotics page](https://robotio.eu/brands/unitree). ### Where it works in practice At the Brilon × Aquatherm trade fair at PVA Expo Letňany, a video with our robot received over 2 million views – see [case study from Letňany](https://robotio.eu/case-study/pva-letnany-otevreni-haly). We deployed several humanoids at once, for example in Paris during the [ROBOrevue world premiere](https://robotio.eu/case-study/roborevue-svetova-premiera-pariz-2026). If you're deciding based on the type of event, check out our pages on [robots for trade shows](https://robotio.eu/robot-hire-by-event-type) and [robots for corporate events](https://robotio.eu/robot-hire-by-event-type). You can find a comparison of other providers in the [Who rents humanoid robots in Europe](https://robotio.eu/humanoid-robot-rental-comparison) overview. ## How to proceed with selection 1. Define your goal: impress guests, facilitate conversation, or demonstrate industrial deployment. 2. Assess the space: wheeled platforms and bipedal robots have different requirements for surface and safety zones. 3. Select a model from the fleet we can guarantee. 4. If you need a specific brand outside our fleet, ask us to verify availability. ## Frequently asked questions ### Do you rent AgiBot robots for events? No. We do not rent or sell any AgiBot model.
