Article summary

XPeng Iron is a 178 cm tall humanoid with 76 degrees of freedom and solid-state battery. European deliveries are planned for 2027, and ROBOTio does not offer it. What does this mean for your event?

XPeng Iron is a humanoid robot from Chinese brand XPENG. According to the manufacturer, it measures 178 cm, weighs 70 kg and has 76 degrees of freedom in the body. However, it is not yet available for hire at events. Series production began in September 2026, first deliveries are planned for 2027 and ROBOTio does not offer it for rental or sale. If you need a humanoid now, we offer [Unitree G1 or H2 from our own fleet](https://robotio.eu/robot-rental). ## What is XPeng Iron Iron is developed by [brand XPENG](https://robotio.eu/brands/xpeng), which you know from electric vehicles. The robot is listed in our catalogue as an information profile, meaning we provide information about it, but we do not deploy it ourselves. All technical data below comes from the manufacturer, not from our own testing. You will also find it on the [XPeng Iron](https://robotio.eu/xpeng-iron) page. Basic specifications according to the manufacturer: - height and weight: 178 cm / 70 kg, - degrees of freedom: 76 in the body and 21 in each hand, - AI power: three XPeng Turing chips, over 2,250 TOPS combined, - battery: solid-state, according to the manufacturer with double energy density, - vision: 720° Eagle-Eye system, - AI model: VLA / VLT / VLM for the "physical world", - system: Tianji AIOS with OTA updates. ## What can Iron do The body is the most striking feature. The robot has fully covered flexible skin, so it looks significantly "more human-like" than a typical metal and plastic robot. It has a curved OLED display in its head. The manufacturer also emphasises 21 degrees of freedom in each hand, meaning fine motor control and object manipulation. The second thing is the computational aspect. The manufacturer states that AI is computed directly in the robot and does not require the cloud. The VLA model is designed to integrate vision, language and action in real time. The robot should thus be able to see, speak and act autonomously. According to the manufacturer, Iron is already assisting in XPENG's own factory. However, this is data from their presentation, not a reference from event operations. The manufacturer also compares degrees of freedom: 76 in Iron versus 28 in [Tesla Optimus](https://robotio.eu/tesla-optimus) and 20 in [Unitree H1](https://robotio.eu/unitree-h1). This is a comparison of parameters, not performance at events. The number of joints alone does not tell you how reliably a robot will perform through an eight-hour trade show. ## Status and availability Current status: - **Manufacturing:** XPENG launched series production in September 2026. - **Deliveries:** first units are planned for 2027. - **Pricing for Europe:** has not yet been published. The manufacturer sets the price. - **ROBOTio:** does not offer the robot. We are in talks with the manufacturer about representation and demonstration units for Europe, and we update the page regularly. - **Reservations:** Iron cannot yet be booked. Language is another practical consideration. Iron officially supports Mandarin and English. A Czech deployment would require developing a custom voice profile. With robots from our fleet, the robot speaks the language in which the guest addresses it (13 web languages), and we pre-approve the persona and responses. ## Implications for corporate events The manufacturer and supporting materials see Iron at representative events. These typically include: - [technology events](https://robotio.eu/robot-hire-by-event-type) and conferences, where the robot greets guests and holds the stage, - [trade shows](https://robotio.eu/robot-hire-by-event-type) and exhibitions, where it serves as the main attraction of the booth, - automotive showrooms and retail flagships, - filming, PR and media production, - pilot deployment in manufacturing or R&D. However, a more important question for planning is: when do you need the robot? Events scheduled for 2026 or spring 2027 cannot rely on Iron. Units for Europe are not yet available and we do not offer it. If the situation changes, we will update the model page. Until then, it makes sense to plan with robots that can be ordered. One practical point applies to every humanoid, not just Iron. The robot alone is not enough; at an event you need a team around it. With our robots, there are two operators throughout who direct movement and gestures. The robot maintains its own movement and balance. If Iron were ever to be offered, we would apply the same standard. ## Alternative: G1 and H2 from our fleet You can have a life-size humanoid at your event today: - **Unitree H2 (180 cm):** closest in height to Iron, suitable for stage, booth and showroom. - **Unitree G1 (135 cm):** smaller, suitable for photography, networking and working among people. We have two, R.U.D.A. and R.I.C.O. More about [G1 Basic](https://robotio.eu/unitree-g1-basic) and [Unitree brand](https://robotio.eu/brands/unitree). - **Up to 4 humanoids at one event:** see [PX Party 2026 with three robots on one stage](https://robotio.eu/case-study/px-party-2026-tri-humanoidni-roboti). If you are unsure between models, check out [model comparison](https://robotio.eu/comparison-of-models) or [overview of all models](https://robotio.eu/models). More than catalogue data matters – what matters is what the robot should do at the event, how much space it has, and what language it should speak. ## Frequently asked questions ### Do you rent XPeng Iron?
