Weave Robotics: Who's behind Isaac and can you hire it for an event?

Article summary

Weave Robotics from San Francisco manufactures the Isaac home robot. You won't be able to hire it for a corporate event in Czechia or Europe. Read on to find out why and what to deploy instead.

Weave Robotics is an American company based in San Francisco that manufactures the Isaac home robot. You cannot hire it for a corporate event in Czechia or Europe: ROBOTio does not lease or sell it, and the manufacturer currently delivers only to California. Moreover, the robot is designed for laundry folding and cleaning, not for performing in front of guests. If you're looking for a robot that can speak at an event, walk among people and put on a show, the right choice is the Unitree G1 or H2 from our fleet. ## Who's behind Weave Robotics Weave Robotics is headquartered in San Francisco and was founded in summer 2024 in the Y Combinator accelerator (batch S24). It was founded by former Apple engineers. The team has approximately 26 people. Published funding is modest (investors include YC, Pioneer Fund, Adjacent and Origins Fund), though the actual amount has not been disclosed. The company is therefore not a major player with thousands of robots in factories. It's a young start-up focused on one thing: a more affordable home robot that can handle specific tasks. You can find an overview of the brand on the [Weave Robotics](https://robotio.eu/brands/weave-robotics) page. ## What robots does Weave make The brand currently has one product line, the Isaac robot: - **Isaac (2024)** – the original home robot concept. When announced, it was expected to cost significantly more than the actual realistic price that emerged later. - **Isaac 0** – a stationary dual-arm laundry folding robot. It has been sold to customers in California since February 2026. According to the manufacturer, it has over 2,000 hours of operational time and folds over 450 kg of laundry per week. Some smaller companies in California also use it. - **Isaac 1** – the first mobile version on a wheeled base. Pre-orders opened in July 2026, with deliveries expected to begin in autumn 2026 according to the manufacturer. ### What is 'W1' On some overview graphics, Isaac 1 sometimes appears as 'W1'. The manufacturer does not use this designation. The robot is called Isaac 1. The 'W1' designation we encountered belongs to another company. So if you come across 'Weave W1', it's the same machine we describe on the [Weave Isaac 1](https://robotio.eu/weave-isaac-1) page. ### Isaac 1 specifications (manufacturer data) - telescopic torso, height 91–175 cm, footprint 52 × 56 cm, - two arms with two-fingered parallel grippers, 21 degrees of freedom, - reach of 203 cm vertically and 97 cm horizontally, - runtime of 8 hours, charging around 2 hours, - cameras in the head and on the wrists, physical camera shutters for privacy. ## What Isaac 1 can and cannot do The robot has two ready-made task flows. **Laundry Flow** finds washed laundry, folds it and stores it. **Daily Reset** makes beds and tidies up toys, shoes, blankets and pillows. When the AI is stuck, a remote Weave specialist can intervene for 5–10 seconds through the robot's cameras. These interventions are then fed back into weekly model updates. That's useful at home. At an event, however, you need something different: walking among people, a voice, gestures and interaction with guests. Weave does not specify any such capabilities for Isaac 1. The robot is designed for repetitive work without an audience, not for greeting guests or hosting. ## Can you get Isaac 1 in Czechia and Europe? Not yet. Pre-orders are available for California, with expansion to other US states expected in 2027. Weave has not announced plans for the European market. ROBOTio does not lease or sell Isaac 1, but is monitoring when genuine availability emerges in Europe. There's also a practical reason. Events with robots depend on reliability: you need certainty about dates, service, on-site support and an approved programme. With a model that isn't available in Europe, none of that can be guaranteed. ## What to deploy instead of Weave at your event At events, we work with our own fleet and our own operators. Each robot has two operators on site at all times. - **[Unitree G1](https://robotio.eu/unitree-g1-basic)** – a humanoid standing 135 cm tall (robots R.U.D.A. and R.I.C.O.). Works well at exhibition booths, conferences and on stage. - **Unitree H2** – a humanoid standing 180 cm tall that remains visible among guests even in crowds. - **[Robopes Unitree Go2](https://robotio.eu/unitree-go2)** – a quadruped complement for more dynamic scenes. The robot speaks in the language the guest addresses it in (the web supports 13 languages). The character and responses are approved in advance. The robot maintains its balance independently; direction and gestures are controlled by the operator. We can deploy up to four humanoids at a single event. For more information about the manufacturer of this fleet, see the [Unitree](https://robotio.eu/brands/unitree) page, model comparisons in our [robot model overview](https://robotio.eu/models), and broader context in the article [which humanoids can you book for an event](https://robotio.eu/blog/humanoidi-2026-ktere-roboty-lze-objednat-na-akci). ### Where it works in practice We deploy humanoids from our fleet at [corporate events](https://robotio.eu/robot-hire-by-event-type) and at [trade fairs](https://robotio.eu/robot-hire-by-event-type). The video from the Brilon × Aquatherm trade fair at PVA Expo Letňany has over 2 million views; see our [case study from Letňany](https://robotio.eu/case-study/pva-letnany-otevreni-haly). ## What this means for your planning 1. If you're interested in Isaac as a product for home or hospitality use, follow Weave's official announcements about European availability. 2. If you're looking for a robot for an event, choose from models that are available with support and service. 3. If you're unsure how to incorporate a robot into your programme, describe your event to us and we'll select the right model and scenario together. ## Frequently asked questions ### Does ROBOTio lease the Weave Isaac robot? No. We do not lease or sell Isaac 1. For events, we deploy Unitree G1 and H2 from our own fleet. ### Is 'W1' a different robot from Isaac 1? No. 'W1' is a designation that appears on some overview graphics. The manufacturer uses the name Isaac 1. ### Can Isaac 1 greet guests or speak to them? Weave does not specify these capabilities. The robot is focused on laundry and cleaning. For robots that speak the guest's language, we have options in our own fleet. ### How much does a robot cost for an event? We do not publish prices on the website. We always prepare pricing on request and send a quote within 24 hours. ## Want a robot for your event? Tell us about your event. We'll help you select the right model and prepare its integration into the programme. You can submit a non-binding enquiry on the [humanoid robot rental](https://robotio.eu/robot-rental) page.
