Article summary

Unitree G1 EDU is the premium version of a compact humanoid robot with NVIDIA Jetson Orin processing. What it can do, battery runtime, and which events suit it better than the Basic model.

Unitree G1 EDU is an advanced variant of a compact humanoid robot, powered by NVIDIA Jetson Orin processing and featuring up to 43 degrees of freedom. It's part of our fleet, which means we can bring it to your event complete with operators, and we'll confirm the exact date in our quotation. It works everywhere you want to make a technological and professional impact: at conferences, trade shows, universities and launch events. ## What is Unitree G1 EDU G1 EDU is the higher-specification configuration of the [Unitree](https://robotio.eu/brands/unitree) robot series. It's just as compact as the basic version, only with more powerful processing and capabilities. According to specifications, it stands approximately 132 cm tall (1320 × 450 × 200 mm), weighs around 35 kg, and can be folded into a compact form for easy transport. Key specifications: - **AI processor:** NVIDIA Jetson Orin - **Degrees of freedom:** 23–43 depending on configuration; EDU features up to 43 including optional hands with force control - **Sensors:** depth camera, 3D LiDAR, 4-channel noise-cancelling microphone array - **Audio:** 5 W speaker - **Connectivity:** Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2 - **Battery:** hot-swappable, 9000 mAh, runtime approximately 2 hours - **Additional features:** higher knee joint torque than Basic, increased arm payload capacity, OTA updates and custom development support Full specifications are available on the [Unitree G1 EDU](https://robotio.eu/unitree-g1-edu) page and in our [model comparison](https://robotio.eu/models). ## How it differs from G1 Basic The key difference lies in the specifications. [G1 Basic](https://robotio.eu/unitree-g1-basic) is the entry-level model, while EDU adds a more powerful AI processor, more precise motion control and a stronger technology impact. For standard guest greetings and photos, the Basic model is perfectly sufficient. EDU makes sense when: - you want to communicate innovation, AI and robotics, - your audience is technical professionals, students or researchers, - you need more complex demonstrations, such as advanced gestures, - you want to make the robot the centrepiece of the event, not just an addition. Pricing is always by enquiry and depends on event duration, location and scope of services. We provide quotations within 24 hours. ## Which events suit G1 EDU best Based on our experience and the robot's capabilities, it performs best at these types of events: - **Technology and professional events.** AI showcases, innovation presentations and [tech-focused events](https://robotio.eu/robot-hire-by-event-type) are its natural environment. Here the robot is not a decoration, but a demonstration of what AI and robotics can achieve today. - **Trade shows and exhibitions.** At a booth it serves as a draw that sets your brand apart. Read more on our [trade show robotics](https://robotio.eu/robot-hire-by-event-type) page. - **Schools, universities and STEM.** For [universities](https://robotio.eu/robot-hire-by-event-type) and workshops, it's a hands-on demonstration of AI and robotics. - **Museums and science centres.** An interactive exhibit that bridges technology and education – see [robot deployment in science centres](https://robotio.eu/robot-hire-by-event-type). - **Launch events, showrooms and promotional campaigns.** Creates an impressive impression for customers, investors and business partners. - **Media and production.** A real humanoid with advanced motion capabilities for TV, advertising and film. The robot also generates photo and video content that works well across social media and PR campaigns. ## How deployment works in practice Two operators are with each robot throughout the event. The robot maintains its own movement and balance; the operator directs movement and gestures. The robot's persona and responses are approved in advance, and it speaks the language in which guests address it. We support 13 languages. The rental package also includes: - transport to and from the venue after the event, - setup and testing of the robot, - technical supervision throughout the event. Battery runtime is approximately 2 hours. Because the battery is hot-swappable, we account for this in longer events and provide spares. For multi-day events, we offer both single-day and multi-day rental options. Our experience shows that guests respond best when the robot has a clear purpose. Take a look at our case studies: for example, [T-Mobile T-Data & AI](https://robotio.eu/case-study/tmobile-t-data-ai-2026-bratislava-praha), where three humanoids appeared at conferences in Bratislava and Prague, or [TE Connectivity in Paris](https://robotio.eu/case-study/te-connectivity-alm-paris-2026), where three humanoids opened an executive briefing. These were robots from our fleet, not exclusively G1 EDU models, but the deployment principles are identical. ## Availability and dates G1 EDU is part of our event fleet – we deploy it across Czechia, Slovakia, Europe and the Gulf. Dates are confirmed in our quotation; we don't reserve them speculatively in advance. As a guide: - standard events often need only a few days' notice, - we handle last-minute enquiries for this week, - for custom choreography or specific requirements, we recommend planning 1–2 weeks ahead. We can deploy up to 4 humanoids at a single event. If you need a taller unit, there's also the Unitree H2 (180 cm). For a complete overview and comparison, see our [robot rental service](https://robotio.eu/robot-rental). If you have your own team wanting to develop the robot further, we also offer [training and support](https://robotio.eu/services/training). ## Frequently asked questions ### Is operator support included in the rental? Yes. Two operators are present with each robot throughout the event, ensuring control, safety and seamless operation. ### Is G1 EDU safe for children and the public? The robot is controlled by an experienced operator and is designed for safe interaction with people, including children. However, we recommend establishing a designated zone and guest guidelines in advance. ### Can the robot speak? Yes, it has built-in speakers and microphones. In our deployments it speaks the language in which guests address it; the persona and responses are approved in advance. ### How long does it run on a single charge? Approximately 2 hours. Thanks to the hot-swappable battery, we can handle longer events. ## Want G1 EDU at your event? Tell us about your event type, location and date, and we'll send you a quotation within 24 hours.
