**Unitree G1 Basic** is a compact humanoid robot (132 cm and approximately 35 kg by specification) designed for presentations, demonstrations and audience interaction. It is not a developer version. On the model page, ROBOTio lists it with a note that it is "supplied on order through our distributor": delivery timeframe and terms are specified in the quote. If you need a robot quickly, it makes sense to consider the G1 or H2 from our own fleet. ## What is Unitree G1 Basic G1 Basic is the entry-level model in the Unitree G1 range from manufacturer [Unitree Robotics](https://robotio.eu/brands/unitree). It is an "event" version: it targets scenarios where the robot greets guests, accompanies a programme, or draws attention at an exhibition stand. Development capabilities are reserved for the [Unitree G1 EDU](https://robotio.eu/unitree-g1-edu) version. Basic includes OTA updates, but secondary development (custom development on top of the robot) is only available with EDU. The compact dimensions and low weight make transport and deployment easier, even in smaller spaces. And two hours per charge means that for longer events, battery swaps are anticipated and scheduled outside the event's peak hours. ## What the robot actually does at an event According to the model page, the robot can play pre-recorded audio and sound effects. So do not expect free-form conversation from Basic. Conversational personas, where the robot speaks in the language the guest uses (13 languages on the website), are pre-approved for robots in our fleet. What is possible for your specific order is determined in the quote. We do not therefore promise a specific date upfront. If you have a fixed event date, we recommend requesting a quote as soon as possible and also having a fleet alternative prepared. The ROBOTio fleet includes Unitree G1 (135 cm, robots R.U.D.A. and R.I.C.O.), Unitree H2 (180 cm) and the Go2 robopet. We deploy up to 4 humanoids at a single event. If you have time and are specifically interested in Basic, mention it in your request and we will confirm the delivery timeframe. ## Operation, transport and safety According to the model page, the rental includes an operator, transport, installation and technical supervision throughout the event. At ROBOTio, each robot has two operators on site for the entire duration. The robot handles its own movement and balance, whilst the operator controls direction and gestures. The robot is designed for safe interaction with people, but we still recommend arranging a designated space, especially for events with children and the general public. Rental is available for one day or multiple days. Price is not listed on the website: it depends on event duration, location and scope of services. The alternative is G1 or H2. ## Frequently asked questions ### How long does the robot last on a single charge? Approximately 2 hours of active operation. The battery is quick-swappable, so for longer events we plan for battery changes. ### Can G1 Basic talk to guests? According to the model page, it has a speaker and microphones and plays pre-recorded audio and sound effects. We handle conversational personas in the guest's language with robots from our fleet. ### Is operation included in the rental? Yes, the rental includes an operator, transport, installation and technical supervision.
