Article summary
Sunday Memo is a home robot on a wheeled column from Sunday Robotics. What are its specifications, what is its status, when will it be available, and why do we deploy Unitree G1 and H2 at corporate events?
Sunday Memo is a home robot from US company Sunday Robotics: a torso with two arms on a wheeled column, without legs, designed for everyday household tasks. It is not yet for sale, the price has not been announced, and a limited beta in the USA is planned to begin by the end of 2026. It cannot be ordered for corporate events. ROBOTio does not rent or sell it. For programmes where robots greet guests, speak and entertain, we offer [Unitree G1 and H2](https://robotio.eu/robot-rental) from our own fleet. ## What is Sunday Memo Memo was unveiled by Sunday (Sunday Inc.) on 19 November 2025 when it came out of stealth. It is based in Mountain View, California and was founded in 2023 as a spin-off from Stanford roboticists. According to its data, it has since raised investments including a Series B in March 2026. You can find more about the manufacturer on the [Sunday Robotics brand page](https://robotio.eu/brands/sunday-robotics). Memo is often described as a humanoid, but "home robot" is more accurate. It has a human-like torso, a head and two arms, but instead of legs it has a wheeled column, and instead of fingers it has gripper claws. The manufacturer refers to it exclusively as a household robot. You can also find a profile description on [our Memo page](https://robotio.eu/sunday-memo). ## Specifications (manufacturer data) - **Design:** torso with two arms on a wheeled column, gripper claws - **Height and weight:** approximately 170 cm and 77 kg (press data), working height approximately 122 cm - **Reach:** from floor to approximately 2.1 m vertically and 0.8 m horizontally - **Degrees of freedom:** approximately 20, that is 7 on each arm - **Speed:** approximately 1 m/s, intentionally half the pace of human movement - **Runtime:** approximately 4 hours, charged to 80% in approximately 1 hour - **AI:** ACT-1 model, ACT-2 announced for 2026 - **Safety:** soft silicone shell without sharp edges, software speed limits, compliant control and passive stability when powered off These are manufacturer and press data, not our own measurements. We have never worked with Memo. ## What Memo can do and how it learns More interesting than the hardware is the learning method. People upload household tasks using the Skill Capture Glove, which mirrors the robot's kinematics. According to the manufacturer, over 2,000 gloves have recorded approximately 10 million demonstrations in more than 500 homes. From these, the ACT-1 model was created, whose foundation is based on human demonstrations, not robotic data. From the demonstrated tasks worth mentioning: - autonomous cleaning "from table to dishwasher": approximately 40 m path, 33 interactions with 21 objects including glassware, - folding clothes and socks, - preparing espresso, - putting things away in their place. The robot can be pushed or moved by hand because the control is compliant. The height is adjusted by the column, so it can reach from the floor to the top shelf. ## Status and availability timeline Memo is in the pre-beta phase. End of 2026 is a plan, not a confirmed fact. According to the manufacturer, it will be approximately 50 numbered units free for selected households in the USA. The waiting list exceeds 3,000 interested parties. Sales are expected to come after the beta. As for the price, it has only announced an intention. The manufacturer has not announced a price. The company states only that in mass production it wants to significantly reduce costs. Sunday has not yet discussed Europe. We see the same pattern – US pre-orders followed by Europe later – with models like [1X NEO](https://robotio.eu/1x-neo) or [Weave Isaac 1](https://robotio.eu/weave-isaac-1). We describe the broader context in our article about [Chinese manufacturers targeting homes](https://robotio.eu/blog/cinsti-vyrobci-humanoidu-cili-na-domaci-prace-2026). ## What this means for corporate events In short: Memo was not designed for events. It is slow by design, operates in the home, and its strength is cleaning and object manipulation. But at an event, guests expect something different from a robot: - to greet them and address them in their language, - to shake hands, dance and capture attention, - to interact with people and look good on camera. That is the job for [Unitree G1](https://robotio.eu/unitree-g1-basic) (135 cm) and H2 (180 cm). The robot speaks the language in which the guest addresses it, with persona and replies approved in advance. The robot maintains its own movement and balance; the operator directs the motion and gestures. There are two operators at all times for each robot. If you want to see what such work looks like, watch our [project for Brilon at the trade fair in Letňany](https://robotio.eu/case-study/pva-letnany-otevreni-haly), where the video exceeded 2 million views. We cannot yet offer a "robot cleaning" demonstration in our programme. If you are planning one, please tell us what it should look like. We'll advise you on what can be arranged today, such as a simple scene with G1 or H2. ### Where Memo could be interesting later Hotels, offices and senior care homes are already asking about cleaning robots today. We monitor Memo as an indicator of home robotics development, and when it launches in Europe, we'll be happy to mediate it for clients who want a robot in operation. Until then, for [robots at corporate events](https://robotio.eu/robot-hire-by-event-type) or in the [showroom](https://robotio.eu/robot-hire-by-event-type), we rely on our proven fleet. You can find an overview of other models on the [models page](https://robotio.eu/models). ## Frequently asked questions ### Can Sunday Memo be purchased or rented? No. Memo is not yet for sale and ROBOTio does not have it in its portfolio. A free beta for approximately 50 households in the USA is planned to begin by the end of 2026. ### How much does Memo cost? The manufacturer's price has not been announced, so we cannot provide any figures. ### Can Memo perform at our event? Not at the moment, because it is not available outside the USA. For events, we recommend Unitree G1 or H2 with operators. ### Will Memo be available in Europe? Sunday is currently only discussing the USA. We are monitoring the development and will inform interested parties we have on file. ## Request a robot that actually works at your event Planning a corporate event and looking for a robot to impress your guests?
