On 14 July 2026, three humanoid robots opened an evening at Pragovka Gallery for around 600 guests. What they did, what worked and what it means for your event.
At PX Party 2026 in Pragovka Gallery, three ROBOTio humanoid robots opened an evening for around 600 guests from the financial community: they walked in among the guests, performed a joint show on stage and took over the programme for a few minutes before handing it back to the host. It worked mainly because each part had a clear role and was agreed in advance with the production team. For the organiser of a similar event, this offers a practical guide, which you will find below. ## What happened on 14 July 2026 The evening was organised by the Prague Stock Exchange, PXE and the Central Securities Depository Prague. The robots' task was to surprise the guests and open the programme. We have described the [whole project in a case study](https://robotio.eu/case-study/px-party-2026-tri-humanoidni-roboti); here is a summary from the organiser's point of view. The opening had three steps: - **Entrance among the guests.** The robots did not go straight to the stage but walked through the crowd. Guests filmed them on their phones, so the first moment of the evening happened even before the official start of the programme. - **Joint show.** Three humanoids on one stage in a synchronised choreography. This was the first time we had performed this format at PX Party. - **A few minutes run by the robots.** The robots greeted the guests, led the programme themselves and then handed over to the host. One of the three robots was R.U.D.A., whom you may know from our other events. You can also find more details from the performance perspective in the [original blog article about PX Party](https://robotio.eu/blog/px-party-2026-tri-humanoidni-roboti-jedno-podium). ## What worked ### Walking among the guests as the first "entrance" of the evening A robot walking past you feels different from a robot on a stage. Guests could look at it up close and immediately reached for their phones. The organisers did not have to order or produce anything: hundreds of photos and videos from guests' phones appeared on their own. ### The robots' roles were clearly divided Three robots on one stage can easily get in each other's way. That is why we prepared the personas, the order of entrances and the choreography in advance so that the robots complemented one another on stage without obstructing each other. The persona and lines are always approved in advance with us. The robot manages its own movement and balance, while operators control direction and gestures. Each robot has two operators throughout. ### A short, self-contained segment A few minutes of programme run by the robots was enough. The robots were not meant to replace the host; they were meant to open the programme and hand it over. Such a handover feels natural, and the audience has no time to tire of the novelty. ### Coordination with the venue and production We fine-tuned the Pragovka Gallery space, the route of the entrance among the guests, and the lighting and sound together with the event production. For a format in which a robot walks through the crowd and then performs, this is exactly the difference between "it looked nice" and "it worked". ## What an organiser can take from this 1. **Open with a robot; do not replace the programme with it.** An entrance, a short show and a handover to the host make a simple scenario for a gala evening, a conference or a corporate party. You will find more ideas on our pages about [robots for corporate events](https://robotio.eu/robot-hire-by-event-type). 2. **Plan for content from guests' phones.** If a robot walks among people, social media fills up by itself. It is a natural bonus for [networking events](https://robotio.eu/robot-hire-by-event-type) too, where robots help break the ice. 3. **Approve personas and lines in good time.** The robot speaks the language in which a guest addresses it, but the script is approved in advance. The sooner you send your materials, the more time remains for rehearsal. 4. **Agree the route and the logistics.** The route of the entrance, the lighting and the sound should be part of the script from the start, not an add-on on the day of the event. 5. **Consider the number of robots in relation to the space.** Up to four humanoids are possible at one event; at PX Party, three performed. More robots create a bigger effect but also need more room. ## How this relates to other projects This year, PX Party was the beginning of a series of events with multiple robots. At the world premiere of [ROBOrevue in Paris](https://robotio.eu/case-study/roborevue-svetova-premiera-pariz-2026), three humanoids performed together with dancers; in Brno, at [BEplan](https://robotio.eu/case-study/beplan-brno-2026-ceska-premiera-roborevue), we combined an all-day presence of robots with an evening show; and for [TE Connectivity in Paris](https://robotio.eu/case-study/te-connectivity-alm-paris-2026), three humanoids opened a leadership meeting. Each event had a different format, but the principle remained the same: a clear role for the robot, a script approved in advance and coordination with the production team. ## What you need for a similar opening The requirements are smaller than people often expect: - a flat, dry surface, - a power socket nearby, - backstage space for the operators. A stage is not necessary, but it helps visibility. If you want a standalone ROBOrevue show, allow for an area of at least 12 × 6 m. We rent robots from our own [Unitree](https://robotio.eu/brands/unitree) fleet: the compact [Unitree G1](https://robotio.eu/unitree-g1-basic) suits narrower spaces, while the taller H2 suits large halls. An overview of the models can be found on the [Models](https://robotio.eu/models) page. ## Frequently asked questions ### How many robots can be deployed at one event? Up to four humanoids at once. Three performed at PX Party. A robotic dog can also be added. ### How long does the opening show last? A few minutes. The robots can then stay among the guests, pose for photos and chat with them. ### Do we need a stage? No, it is not necessary. A flat, dry surface, a power socket and backstage space for the operators are enough. A stage helps visibility. For a ROBOrevue show, an area of at least 12 × 6 m is required. ### Who operates the robot at the event? Always our operators, two per robot throughout the event. We approve the script, persona and lines with you in advance. ## Would you like a similar opening for your event? Send us the date and venue, and we will propose a suitable line-up.
