Humanoid robot R.U.D.A. appeared at the OneCore Business Breakfast at Microsoft three times: on stage with the moderator, among guests during networking, and in a quiz. What worked and what are the takeaways?

At a specialist breakfast for the leasing and finance sector, a robot works best when it's not just an attraction but has clearly defined moments in the programme. At the OneCore Business Breakfast in Bratislava on 28 May 2026, the humanoid R.U.D.A. had three: an introduction on stage with the moderator, networking during the coffee break, and a brief quiz after the break. This structure is the main lesson you can take from the event. ## About the Event OneCore Business Breakfast was organised by Seyfor in partnership with Microsoft. It took place at Microsoft Slovakia in Bratislava, at Pradiarni 1900. It was aimed at owners and directors of leasing, credit and factoring companies, IT managers, finance and sales directors, and BI teams. The main expert guest was a representative of the National Bank of Slovakia. The format is familiar: expert presentations, discussion and networking. Content is usually valuable, but keeping the audience engaged throughout the morning is challenging, particularly when discussing data, process digitalisation and AI. So the goal was clear: - create a striking moment that introduces the topic of artificial intelligence, - revitalise the programme without compromising its professional nature, - support networking among guests, - show that AI and robotics are a practical part of today's business. Full brief details and outputs are available in the [OneCore Business Breakfast case study at Microsoft](https://robotio.eu/case-study/onecore-business-breakfast-microsoft-bratislava). ## Who Was on Stage We deployed robot R.U.D.A., a humanoid [Unitree G1 EDU](https://robotio.eu/unitree-g1-edu) from the ROBOTio project and RobotRUDA.cz. It measures approximately 130 cm, weighs approximately 35 kg and is capable of bipedal walking, gestures, facial expressions and controlled interaction with the audience. In Bratislava, it spoke with an AI voice in Czech. The robot controls its movement and balance independently, while our operator directs its movement and gestures. The active programme lasted 4–5 hours. ## Three Roles for the Robot in the Programme ### 1. Introduction on Stage with the Moderator The robot greeted guests, responded to the moderator, commented on the leasing market and summarised the day's programme. The script worked with light humour and technological exaggeration. For example, there was the quip that leasing is "a combination of mathematics, trust and very small print". This lightened the professional atmosphere and immediately captured the attention of the audience. The robot did not replace the moderator but was her partner. Similar questions are discussed in the article [robot as conference co-moderator](https://robotio.eu/blog/robot-jako-spolumoderator-konference-humanoid). ### 2. Networking During the Coffee Break After the expert session, the robot moved among guests, greeting them and engaging in short conversations. The script included natural questions: what company they were from, or what they would do with an hour a day if AI saved it for them. The robot thus served as a conversation starter and helped connect guests with one another. The ROBOTio operator guided the robot among guests according to the networking plan. If you're planning a similar format, take a look at the [robot for networking](https://robotio.eu/robot-hire-by-event-type) page. ### 3. Quiz After the Break After the coffee break came a short robot quiz. The questions covered artificial intelligence, the history of chatbots and a physics experiment. Technology as a theme, not dry data. After the break, the programme picked up pace again and the robot shifted from guest role to educational element. ## What Worked The event revealed several principles that can be transferred elsewhere: - **Bespoke script for professional audiences.** The lines drew on specific topics: AI, leasing, digitalisation. We prepared them together with the event's moderator. - **Three appearances instead of one.** The robot returned in different roles, so it didn't feel like a one-off demo. - **Tone matched to the environment.** Professional, business-like, with gentle humour. No show for effect. - **Linked to the event theme.** Technology moved from presentations into real contact with people, which was exactly what the entire programme was about. - **Visual motif.** A humanoid in a Microsoft environment is a striking shot for photos, reels and LinkedIn, and good material for a subsequent PR article. ## What Event Organisers Can Take Away ### Define Roles Before Selecting the Robot First, clarify where the programme needs a boost: the opening, a break, a post-lunch slump? Then assign the robot a specific role. At the Bratislava business breakfast, there were three. ### Involve the Moderator from the Start Script, speaker names and communication tone are coordinated in advance. The robot can then comment on the programme and respond to speakers. Lines and persona are approved before the event. We discuss this more in the article on [robots speaking the guest's language](https://robotio.eu/blog/robot-mluvi-jazykem-hosta-vicejazycna-persona). ### Plan Space for Networking During the coffee break, the robot needs freedom of movement and the operator needs an overview of the guests. When planning, it's worth thinking about safe distance from guests too. ### Consider Language and Other Markets In Bratislava, the robot spoke Czech. The AI voice can be switched to other languages and the website supports 13 languages. For Slovak audiences, we therefore offer [robot hire in Bratislava](https://robotio.eu/robot-hire-by-event-type). You can also find a two-day deployment in Bratislava and Prague in the [T-Mobile T-Data & AI case study](https://robotio.eu/case-study/tmobile-t-data-ai-2026-bratislava-praha). ### Plan Your Outputs Photos, short video and recommendations for social media are part of the delivery. The event lives on even after the programme ends. ## When Does This Type of Deployment Make Sense? A robot is well suited where you want to enliven a professional programme, not overshadow it. Typical venues are [conferences](https://robotio.eu/robot-hire-by-event-type), corporate breakfasts, customer days or industry meetings. To learn how to choose the right model, see our guide to [rental services](https://robotio.eu/robot-rental); the fleet is based on [Unitree](https://robotio.eu/brands/unitree) models. ## Frequently Asked Questions ### Does the Robot Disrupt the Professional Nature of the Event? Not if the script is tailored and the appearances are clearly defined. In Bratislava, the robot was the moderator's partner and its lines addressed the event's themes. ### Will the Robot Replace the Moderator? No. It works alongside the moderator and complements it: it opens proceedings, provides relief and sparks conversation. ### Does the Robot Speak Languages Other Than Czech? Yes. The robot speaks the language in which it is addressed by the host; the website runs in 13 languages. Persona and lines are approved in advance. ### Can You Deliver a Similar Event Abroad? Yes, we operate across Czechia, Slovakia, Europe and the Gulf. We handle transport, operators and technical support. ## Considering a Robot for Your Event?
