Article summary

DOBOT Robotics is a Chinese manufacturer from Shenzhen with European office in Germany. Robot overview and what you can book for events in Czechia and Europe now.

DOBOT Robotics is a Chinese manufacturer of robots headquartered in Shenzhen, producing collaborative arms, tabletop and educational robots, and humanoids LUMO and ATOM. At an event in Czechia, you cannot hire its humanoid from us at the moment: ROBOTio follows the DOBOT brand but does not have it in its fleet and is not an official distributor. If you need a humanoid that greets guests, converses with them, and takes photos, we can deploy [Unitree G1 or H2](https://robotio.eu/robot-rental) from our own fleet. We are also developing concepts for a robotic café and popcorn service with DOBOT for companies. ## Who is behind the DOBOT brand According to the manufacturer's information, DOBOT Robotics is a company founded in 2015 in Shenzhen. In Europe, it operates through its subsidiary DOBOT Europe GmbH in Neu-Isenburg, Germany. It develops a consumer division under the INFFNI brand. The company's core business consists of robotic arms. Humanoids are a newer part of the product range. A comprehensive profile can be found on the [DOBOT Robotics brand page](https://robotio.eu/brands/dobot). ## What robots does DOBOT make - **Collaborative arms Nova and CRA.** They work alongside humans and are used in both industry and gastronomy. Coffee and ice cream concepts are based on these arms. - **Tabletop and educational robots.** Smaller devices for teaching and development. - **LUMO L1 humanoid.** According to the manufacturer, it measures 124 cm, has 30 degrees of freedom, and weighs approximately 40.5 kg (Standard version) or 41 kg (Max version). Endurance is approximately 2 hours with normal movement. The manufacturer positions it for education and research, exhibition hosting, cultural programmes, and commercial performances. - **ATOM humanoid.** An industrial model measuring 1.65 m, weighing 62 kg, with 41 degrees of freedom and repeatability of ±0.05 mm, according to the manufacturer. A wheeled variant, ATOM-W, is also available. In February 2026 at APEC PPSTI, it demonstrated popcorn serving. Differences between LUMO versions: Max includes an additional stereo RGB-D camera, 3D LiDAR, and a more powerful NVIDIA Jetson Thor T4000 unit, whilst Standard uses the Rockchip RK3588 chip. Full details are available in the [DOBOT LUMO profile](https://robotio.eu/dobot-lumo) and in the [dedicated article about LUMO L1](https://robotio.eu/blog/dobot-lumo-l1-humanoid-124-cm-parametry-akce). ## Can DOBOT be deployed at events in Czechia and Europe? To be honest: we are unable to secure a LUMO humanoid for hire at present. We do not have it in our fleet or in stock, and we are not an official DOBOT distributor. However, for a specific project we can verify with the manufacturer: - the ordering version and technical data sheet, - availability in the EU and documentation for operation in Europe, - batteries, service, and conditions for public demonstration, - SDK, Czech language support, and integration with our voice system. We do not yet have confirmed answers on these points, so we do not wish to make promises. It is also important to distinguish between what the robot does through pre-programming, what an operator controls, and what it can handle autonomously. A marketing video from a trade fair will tell you little about operation at your event. ## Robotic café and popcorn: concepts we are preparing From the DOBOT product range, we are primarily interested in practical solutions built on arms for companies. We present these concepts as those in preparation and base them on the manufacturer's data: - [Robotic café](https://robotio.eu/robot-coffee-kiosk): an arm in a glass-enclosed cabin with ordering via touchscreen. According to the manufacturer, the cabin measures 1,500 × 1,450 × 2,180 mm, requires a 230 V outlet (3 kW power input), water, and a covered space. Coffee is ready in 45 to 90 seconds and the container holds 100 cups. - [Popcorn robot](https://robotio.eu/popcorn-robot): popcorn served by a robot. Suitable as an attraction for a stand or showroom. - [Ice cream robot](https://robotio.eu/ice-cream-robot): an ice cream stand with a robot. None of these are humanoids. Neither LUMO nor ATOM prepare coffee or popcorn for guests in our service. Popcorn was served by ATOM at APEC 2026, which was solely a manufacturer demonstration. For a [robot for a showroom](https://robotio.eu/robot-hire-by-event-type) or [trade fair stand](https://robotio.eu/robot-hire-by-event-type), this is an interesting complement, but we always verify the requirements for each specific case. ## What to deploy immediately: Unitree G1 and H2 If the event date cannot wait, we rely on our own fleet. This comprises [Unitree G1](https://robotio.eu/unitree-g1-basic) (135 cm), the larger Unitree H2 (180 cm), and the Go2 robot dog. We can deploy up to 4 humanoids at a single event. Each robot is accompanied by two of our operators at all times. The robot maintains balance and movement independently; the operator controls direction and gestures. The robot speaks the language in which the guest addresses it (13 website languages). We approve the persona and dialogue in advance. Here is what this looks like in practice: - trade fair: the video from Brilon × Aquatherm at PVA Expo Letňany has over 2 million views; see the [case study](https://robotio.eu/case-study/pva-letnany-otevreni-haly), - show: [ROBOrevue](https://robotio.eu/case-study/roborevue-svetova-premiera-pariz-2026) is a 5-minute show featuring three humanoids and three dancers, for which you need a stage or space of at least 12 × 6 m, - regular corporate event: see [robot for corporate events](https://robotio.eu/robot-hire-by-event-type). In 2026, we performed over 70 shows across six countries. We travel throughout Czechia, Slovakia, Europe, and the Gulf region (Dubai). If you want to learn about the entire range, start on the [robot models page](https://robotio.eu/models) or in the overview of the [Unitree brand](https://robotio.eu/brands/unitree). ## How to proceed with selection 1. Determine the robot's role: greeting, conversation, photography, show, or service (coffee, popcorn). 2. Establish whether you need it for an event with a fixed date or a longer-term project. 3. For an event with a fixed date, expect G1 or H2. For DOBOT, allow time for verification with the manufacturer. 4. Submit an enquiry. Pricing is not shown on the website; it is always on request, and we send a quotation within 24 hours. ## Frequently asked questions ### Can DOBOT LUMO be hired for an event in Czechia? Not at present. We do not have LUMO in our fleet and we are not an official DOBOT distributor. For your project, we will verify availability and conditions with the manufacturer. ### Can LUMO make coffee or popcorn? This is not documented. Popcorn was served by the ATOM humanoid at APEC 2026; coffee and ice cream are prepared by Nova and CRA arms. We develop these concepts independently. ### Does LUMO speak Czech? We are verifying Czech language support and integration with our voice system with the manufacturer for the specific configuration. Our fleet robots speak the guest's language. ### What is the alternative to DOBOT? Unitree G1 or H2 humanoid with our operators. It can handle greeting, conversation, and photography, and the event date is not dependent on manufacturer delivery. ## Enquiry for an event with a robot Are you looking for a humanoid at your event or considering a café or popcorn service from DOBOT? Tell us via [non-binding enquiry](https://robotio.eu/robot-rental) what you need. Within 24 hours we will respond with details of what we can provide immediately and what we will verify with the manufacturer.
