Article summary
Agility Digit 5 is a logistics humanoid announced on 15 September 2026: 181 cm, 129 kg, 9-minute charging. ROBOTio does not offer it for events; we recommend Unitree G1 or H2.
Agility Digit 5 is the fifth generation of the logistics humanoid from Agility: a 181 cm robot that carries totes in warehouses and manufacturing plants and is built to work alongside people without safety cages. It was announced on 15 September 2026, it is not yet available in Europe, and ROBOTio neither rents nor sells it. If you are looking for a humanoid for a corporate event, the right choice is [Unitree G1](https://robotio.eu/unitree-g1-basic) or H2 from our fleet. Digit is interesting as an illustration of where the industry is heading, not as an event robot. ## What Kind of Robot Is Digit 5 Digit is made by [Agility Robotics](https://robotio.eu/brands/agility-robotics), a company founded in 2015 as a spin-off from the Dynamic Robotics Laboratory at Oregon State University. Since March 2026 it has operated under the name Agility. Its headquarters and RoboFab factory are in Salem, Oregon. The development line is easy to follow: the research biped Cassie (2017), Digit v1 (2019), v2 (2020) and Digit v4 (March 2023). The v4 is the generation currently deployed with customers. Digit 5 was announced on 15 September 2026 and brings new legs, a higher payload, fast charging, a longer reach and interchangeable end effectors. What matters is what Digit is used for. It is an industrial tool for moving totes and performing similar repetitive tasks. Agility itself states that the robot is not intended for the home, and it is not an event robot either. ## Specifications According to the Manufacturer The figures below come from the manufacturer and relate to Digit 5: - **Height and weight:** 181 cm, 129 kg. - **Payload:** repeated lifting of 22.7 kg, which is the NIOSH limit for a single person, and 40% more than the v4. - **Reach:** 2.2 m. - **Battery:** 90 minutes of operation, charged in 9 minutes (a 10:1 ratio). According to the manufacturer, this allows more than 20 productive hours per day. The v4 had a 2:1 ratio. - **Compute:** NVIDIA IGX Thor with the NVIDIA Halos Core framework and an independent safety controller. - **Sensors:** cameras, depth sensors and an IMU for 360° detection of people, plus visual and audible signals indicating the robot's intent. - **Hands:** interchangeable end effectors with an ISO flange. - **Legs:** a new design with cycloidal actuators and padded knees. - **Software:** Agility Arc for workflow mapping, task definition and fleet management, learned whole-body control and VLA models. The price has not been published. We can therefore discuss only the business model, not a specific price list. ## What RaaS Means RaaS (Robots as a Service) is a model in which a company does not buy the robot but pays for its operation as a service. This is how Agility sells Digit to customers in logistics and manufacturing. According to the manufacturer, orders for Digit 5 have exceeded roughly 1,000 robots on a three-year RaaS contract with milestones. For readers from the events industry, this is a useful distinction. With Digit, RaaS means long-term deployment in day-to-day operations, whereas our rental is short-term, for a specific event and with operators. ## Where Digit Works and Its Current Status Agility reports more than 65,000 operating hours with customers for Digit v4. At GXO Logistics, it has moved more than 100,000 totes with an accuracy of around 98%. Customers include: - **Logistics:** GXO Logistics (according to Agility, the first multi-year RaaS agreement for a humanoid, from 2024), Mercado Libre, and Amazon, which has been testing Digit since 2023. - **Manufacturing:** Schaeffler, both an investor and a customer, where the robot loads bearing components. The plan envisages deployment in roughly 100 plants by 2030. - **Automotive:** Toyota Motor Manufacturing Canada, a commercial RaaS agreement since February 2026 following a one-year pilot. Safety is the main selling point. Digit v4 has NRTL certification and a safety PLC. According to Agility, Digit 5 is the first humanoid with an independent OSHA field assessment, and Agility is a co-author of the ANSI/A3 R15.108 and ISO 25785-1 standards. ## Availability in Europe Agility offers Digit in the USA and Canada. It has announced early access to Digit 5 for the USA, Canada, the EU and the United Kingdom in the first half of 2027, with full availability at the end of 2027 and the CE marking expected. The company has also announced its stock market listing via a merger, with closing planned for the fourth quarter of 2026. At ROBOTio, there are two clear answers: - **Rental for events:** no. - **Sales and import:** no; we are monitoring availability in Europe. For companies that wish to try Digit 5 in a warehouse in 2027, we are following the early access programme and will help with operational preparation: mapping, safety zones and processes. ## What This Means for Corporate Events At a logistics or industrial trade fair, visitors want to see a robot that genuinely works. Digit is exactly that, except that it is not physically present in Europe. There are two practical options: 1. **A humanoid on your stand from our fleet.** Unitree G1 (135 cm) or H2 (180 cm) will draw attention, engage guests in their own language, and be run by two of our operators throughout the event. How this works on a stand is shown by the [Brilon × Aquatherm project at PVA Expo Letňany](https://robotio.eu/case-study/pva-letnany-otevreni-haly), with a video that has over 2 million views. You can find out more about the format on the [robot for trade fairs](https://robotio.eu/robot-hire-by-event-type) page. 2. **Expert context on Digit.** Alongside the humanoid on your stand, we provide a comparison of what today's industrial humanoids can actually do. It suits [technology events](https://robotio.eu/robot-hire-by-event-type), where the audience is interested in the difference between a showroom robot and a working machine. Anyone comparing industrial models may also wish to look at the [UBTECH Walker S2](https://robotio.eu/ubtech-walker-s2), [Apptronik Apollo](https://robotio.eu/apptronik-apollo) or [AgiBot G2](https://robotio.eu/agibot-g2). The full overview is in the [robot models](https://robotio.eu/models) section. We have experience with several robots at once, for example from [PX Party 2026](https://robotio.eu/case-study/px-party-2026-tri-humanoidni-roboti), where three humanoids stood on one stage. At a single event, we deploy up to 4 humanoids. ## Frequently Asked Questions ### Can Digit be rented for an event?
