# We're looking for someone to teach a robot to go to work (literally) *Published: April 2026 | ROBOTio.cz* --- Do you know what a typical day at ROBOTio looks like? In the morning, you make yourself a coffee. You open your laptop. And then you watch as a metre-forty-tall humanoid tries to pick up a box from a table and carry it to the warehouse. Sometimes it succeeds. Sometimes it sends the box to the other side of the room. Sometimes it simply sits down on the floor and refuses to get up, like a defiant three-year-old in a supermarket. And that's precisely why **we're looking for reinforcement**. ## What's happening here When we launched ROBOTio a while back, people said: *"Humanoid robots? In Czechia? What for?"* Today, manufacturing companies from Slovakia are calling us saying they want to deploy a robot on their production line. Schools are asking if we can come with a robot for a workshop. And we're sitting over the ROS2 console wondering why the G1 is ignoring our commands again, as if it had its own opinion on life-work balance. So here we are. We have robots. We have enquiries. And we need someone to make technical sense of it all. ## Who we're looking for Someone who: - **knows Python or C++** and isn't scared of a terminal (bonus: isn't scared of a robot that's almost as tall as they are) - **knows ROS2** or is willing to dive in headfirst - **has robotics experience** – doesn't have to be Unitree specifically, maybe you've worked with robotic arms, autonomous vehicles, or you built Lego Mindstorms as a child and have taken it seriously ever since - **can talk to people** – because this job isn't just about code, but also about visiting a client and explaining what the robot can do and what it can't yet (and why that "yet" is an important word) ## What you'll be doing **First: Programming.** Unitree G1 EDU is a fascinating piece of hardware. It has 43 degrees of freedom, 3D LiDAR, stereo cameras and an SDK that gives you access to everything from locomotion to manipulation. Your job will be to transform all this into something that actually works – whether it's a robot carrying components in a warehouse, or a robot handing out business cards at a trade fair without knocking over the table. **Second: Teaching.** We're launching ROBOTio Academy – certification courses for working with humanoid robots. We need someone who can explain complex things simply. If you're the type of person who can explain reinforcement learning using an analogy with puppy training, you're our person. **Third: Consulting.** We get enquiries like: *"Hello, we're a company that manufactures encoders, and we'd be interested to know if a humanoid robot could help us on our production line."* And we need someone who can visit the site, look at the operation, and say: "Yes, this makes sense here, not quite yet here, and this will need further development." This is a real enquiry. This isn't sci-fi. This is now. ## Why ROBOTio specifically We won't lie to you – we're not a corporate. We don't have an open-space with a pool table and smoothie bar. Instead, we have: - **Real robots.** Unitree G1 EDU. Not a browser simulation. An actual humanoid standing in the next room waiting for your code. - **Real projects.** First industrial deployment of humanoid robots in CZ/SK. Nobody else here is doing this. - **Flexibility.** Remote, contract, part-time, full-time – we'll work it out.
